What to Expect

Worship starts at 10:45am.

Our worship services are a casual affair.  That does not mean that we haphazardly approach worship.  It simply means that attire is not a hindrance to worship.  You will find people wearing slacks and golf shirts to jeans and tee shirts.  Some of our church folk still wear ties.  The atmosphere is hospitable and friendly and we do take time during the service to formally greet one another.

On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate communion.  You may know it by Holy Communion or the Lord’s Supper, but we simply call it communion.  What makes our celebration of communion unique is that our table is open to all people.  What we mean by this is that you do not have to be a member of this or any United Methodist Church to receive the elements of communion, bread and grape juice. The Lord’s Table is open to all denominations and ages.  As a matter of fact, you do not have to be a believer at all.  Our table is open to EVERYONE!

We maintain a well-staffed and clean nursery for our entire Sunday morning experience, but we certainly encourage parents to bring their children with them for worship.  The children are included in the Sunday morning worship experience as they have some special teaching time with our pastor.

Small group time, or Sunday school as you might remember it, is a time for all ages to grow in their relationship to God and to their friends.  We have a variety to children’s and adult classes to choose from.  While our children are divided by age, our adults have age and life-stage options for their classes.  We hope you will find the place most fitting for you and your family.
