Jack C. Binion Elementary School is one of City Point UMC’s mission outreach programs. Eighty-five percent of the students are on free and reduce lunches. City Point has made it their Mission to provide meals, clothes, school supplies, and jackets to the students throughout the year. We offer support to the teachers, staff, and continually reach out to the families of Jack C Binion. A Back to School event is held in August to help the students with clothes and school supplies. The Community Meal is a great example of how we love and care for the families of Binion. In November we host a Community Meal at the church in Reeves Hall for students, families, and staff. We feed more than 500 people at this yearly event. Each family leaves with two bags of groceries after they enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. NRH police, fire department and city council join us to serve during the Community Meal.
